Plainfield, NJ · detailed on the driveway
What we have had on the driveway
A detail shop with no shop.
Rashine has no waiting room, no queue and no drop-off. Rashaan Peterson loads the van, drives to your address and does the whole job there — wash, decontamination, correction, coating, interior, whatever you booked. You carry on with your day and come out to a finished car.
That is the convenience. The other half is who does the work: one owner-operator who has been detailing cars around Plainfield since 2008, and whose own photo album is full of Maybachs, Porsches and Range Rovers.
From a maintenance wash to corrected, coated paint.
Twelve services, all of them mobile. If you are not sure which one your car actually needs, call and describe it — that conversation is free and it usually saves you money.

Ceramic Coating
A ceramic coating is a protective layer bonded to your paint.

Paint Correction
Swirl marks, hologramming and that hazy look under direct sun are not dirt — they are thousands of fine scratches in your clear coat, most of them put there by automatic car washes and dirty towels.

Interior Deep Clean
The outside is what other people see; the inside is what you look at every day.

Precision Hand Wash
The owner’s own words for this one are precision hand washing, and precision is the point.

Engine Bay Cleaning
Nearly everyone skips the engine bay, which is a shame — it is where leaks show up first.

Pet Hair Removal
Dog hair does not sit on upholstery, it weaves into it, which is why vacuuming alone barely touches it and why it keeps reappearing for months.

Stain & Spill Removal
Coffee in the driver’s seat, a milkshake in the footwell, juice on the back bench, mud through the trunk.

Headlight Restoration
Headlight lenses are polycarbonate and they oxidize — they go yellow, then cloudy, and your light output drops with them.

RV & Motorhome Detailing
A motorhome is a lot of surface area, most of it fiberglass, most of it sitting outside all year going chalky and streaked.

Everything on the service list happens at your address — your driveway, your curb, your workplace parking lot, or the storage lot where the RV lives. No drop-off, no pickup, no losing a Saturday. Tell us what water and power are available when you book and we will work with whatever you have got.
The van and trailer in these photos are ours, parked at the jobs they were taken on.

What customers said.
Convenient, quality work. Definitely worth it because when you go into a regular car wash sometimes you end up spending 20 bucks and come out with missed spots and feeling like you wasted time. Now when you have someone come to your place of work or…
I have five vehicles and attend many car shows. The owner is always attentive and on time. Used only top shelf products.
Excellent service! He showed up on time and spoke to me before starting the service. He used my wax product as requested and got to work. The results — my 2023 Volkswagen Atlas looked like I drove it off of the dealer showroom. Looks brand new!

Owner-operated out of Plainfield since 2008.
Rashaan Peterson started Rashine because he has always been into cars, and he still does every job himself. There is no crew, no subcontractor and nobody being trained on your paint — which is exactly why the phone gets answered and the price you are quoted is the price you pay.
The car does not move. You do not wait. The owner does the work.
A detail shop costs you a drop-off, a pickup and most of a day. A tunnel wash costs you twenty dollars and puts fine scratches in your clear coat every single time. Mobile detailing done properly is the third option: the car stays where it is, one person who owns the business does the job, and you look at it together before anybody leaves.
Tell us the vehicle and what is bothering you and you get a number up front. No inspection fee and no revised total at the end.
One car at a time. There is no queue behind you and no incentive to cut a stage short to get to the next job.
Some scratches polish out and some do not. Some cars want correction before a coating and some do not need it. You will hear which is which before you spend anything.
Four steps, and you never leave the house.
Booking Rashine is deliberately simple.

We come to you
Your driveway or your workplace, at a time that suits. You do not have to go anywhere or sit in a waiting room.
Look at it before we leave
Walk around the car with us. If something is not right, it gets put right there and then — that is what the guarantee means.
100% satisfaction guaranteed.
Every job is done with precision and care, and we walk around the vehicle with you before we leave. If something in the job you booked is not right, say so and we will put it right. That is the whole guarantee — no small print, and nothing you have to chase.
Looking after it between details.
Some of this costs us work. It is still what we would tell a friend.
Book it every three to six months
How often depends on how the car is used and where it lives. A garaged commuter can go six months; a car parked under trees, or one that carries kids and a dog, wants it closer to three. Regular detailing stops dirt and road film from bonding into the paint in the first place — and it holds resale value, which makes it one of the cheaper things you can do to a car.
The tunnel wash is the problem
Almost every swirl mark we polish out was put there by an automatic wash dragging the same brushes across your car that it dragged across the hundred before it. If you take one thing from this page: stop using them. A proper hand wash costs more and does not quietly destroy your clear coat.
Use the right product on the right surface
pH-balanced shampoo for paint, a cleaner made for leather on leather, something appropriate for plastics and vinyl — and microfibre, not whatever towel is nearest. All-purpose cleaner on a leather seat is how seats get ruined. Ask us what to buy and we will tell you honestly, even if you are doing it yourself.
Do not skip the engine bay
Nearly everyone does, and it is the one place where a clean surface earns its keep: a fresh leak shows up instantly against clean plastic and is invisible against ten years of grime. It also tells a buyer or a mechanic exactly how the car has been looked after.
Salt is the winter enemy
New Jersey roads get heavily salted, and salt sitting in wheel wells and along the lower panels does real damage over a few winters. Washing through the cold months matters more than washing through the summer, not less — and protected paint gives it far less to hold on to.
70 towns across five counties.
Out of Plainfield we cover all of Union County, across Route 22 and Route 28 into Somerset, south and east through Middlesex, over the Watchungs into Essex, and north into Morris. Every town below is inside a real, road-routed 31 minutes of home — not a circle drawn on a map.
