Can you get the smell out?
Usually — as long as we can get to whatever is causing it. Odour lives in the material, not in the air, so the fix is cleaning and extracting the source rather than spraying something over it. Spilled milk under a seat, a wet carpet, smoke in the headliner: tell us what happened and we will tell you honestly what we can do.
Is it safe on leather?
Yes. Leather gets a cleaner made for leather and then a conditioner, which is what keeps it from drying and cracking at the bolsters. All-purpose cleaner on a leather seat is how seats get ruined.
