Correction machine-polishes them out so light reflects cleanly off the paint again. Will polishing damage my paint?
Done properly, no — done carelessly, it can, which is exactly why it matters who does it. Clear coat is finite. The job is to remove the least amount needed to clear the defect, which means reading the paint and testing before committing to a pad and a compound across a whole panel.
Can every scratch be polished out?
No, and we will tell you which is which before you spend money. If your fingernail catches in it, it is through the clear coat and polishing will not remove it — it can be made much less obvious, but not erased. Anything shallower than that usually comes out.
